Membership in Maple Leaf Angels includes the following:
Investment events – Invitation to nine Maple Leaf Angels investment breakfasts and our annual summer dinner investment event
Social events – Invitation to Maple Leaf Angels social events
Deal-flow – Investment opportunity in 30 quality pre-screened companies annually
Follow-on financings – Regular updates on Maple Leaf Angel portfolio companies and opportunity to participate in follow-on financings
Angelsoft – Access to the Angelsoft on-line repository of company information and due diligence materials
Education – Opportunity to learn more about angel investing
Networking – Interact with other angel investors and other contacts in the early stage company ecosystem
Our group owes its success to the active participation of our members. Our guidelines for membership are:
Annual Investment guideline – $25,000 each season
Events – Attendance at Investment breakfasts / events
Due dilligence – Participation in due diligence sessions including use of your own personal networks for relevant expertise and contacts
Deal flow – Referral of high caliber companies for presentation to our membership (historically, the best opportunities have been referrals from the group)
Membership is open only to accredited investors. Membership fees for individual angels are $750 annually. The event fee for each breakfast event is $45 or a full season of event fees can be pre-paid for $300.
